The Observer Mini-ROV is an ultra-portable underwater inspection robot equipped with 2 high-definition color video cameras, one of which is pan & tilt and LED illumination. Embedded batteries allow 150 hours of autonomy and operation in the most remote areas up to a depth of 4 m. Various accessories such as auxiliary plug, sonars, indicators and manipulator can be easily mounted on the Observer. The complete system with its hub is packed in a single carrying case with a total weight of 32 kg.

Manipulators and samplers

Subsea Tech has developed its own accessories for the Mini-ROV. Among them, a 2-function manipulator that allows to capture objects, a cutter for cutting cables and ropes, as well as water or sediment samplers.

Sonars

High blur does not allow the use of standard video cameras. Acoustic solutions allow viewing even in conditions of zero visibility. Sonar scanning makes it possible to scan an area for navigation purposes, while 2D multi-beam sonar, also called an "acoustic camera", is a high-performance real-time imaging solution.

USBL (Ultra-Short Baseline) systems allow a target to be positioned relative to a reference unit on the surface. You can then easily find and record the path to your Mini-ROV Observer, which simplifies navigation and improves the efficiency of trips.

measuring probes

Subsea Tech Mini-ROVs can be equipped with a variety of probes, such as a thickness probe, a cathodic protection probe, or several physico-chemical probes (salinity, conductivity, pH, etc.).

The combination of Subsea Tech's laser pointer and Inspection Viewer software is a complete solution for measuring any distance in images captured by the ROV.
