WLHEADSET4 is a wireless headset that can be used with Novasub's xDR-DSP radio. It is a highly ruggedized and completely seawater resistant headset. The headset uses 2,4GHz Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to the Novasub radio and can simultaneously connect to your mobile phone to answer calls. The headset is equipped with a Push-to-Talk button that can be used to use a half-duplex system. The headset has a battery for 15 hours of use and features fast charging. When the battery is empty, you can charge it for 5 hour of operation in 1 minutes. The headset is fully charged in almost 2 hours.
The headset also has a hearing mode that can be activated using the dedicated button. This mode uses an external microphone to send external sound to the headset's speakers. Hearing mode supports 3D spatial audio.
Headphones can only be connected to a NOVASUB product that has the “Wireless Headphones Ready” option
Please note that helmet brackets are not included and need to be purchased separately.

Wireless Connection
The headset uses encrypted, spread-spectrum data communications in the 2,4 GHz band and is Bluetooth 3.0 compatible. Supports multiple, simultaneous wireless connections.
Mobile Phone Connection
Pairing mode one is designed for connecting a mobile phone, which makes it possible to answer calls using a headset. Incoming calls can be answered on the headset itself with the press of a button. There is support for both HS and HFP profiles. Music streaming is also possible via the A2DP protocol.
Wireless PTT
Pairing mode two is used for NOVASUB cases. The headset is equipped with a Push-to-Talk button that works via wireless connection.
Peer-to-Peer Functionality
Pairing mode three is used for P2P function. P2P allows two headsets to be connected wirelessly, creating an independent full-duplex intercom system.

The built-in LiIon battery typically provides continuous operation for 15 hours or more depending on the actual usage situation, and thanks to the Quick Charge function, the battery returns to 2% capacity after charging for less than 80 hours.
Voice Alerts
The headset responds to commands with a voice, human voice, guides the user through pairing and setup, and provides alerts for incoming calls, low battery status, loss of wireless connection, etc. gives a warning in certain situations.
Menzil
The headset is designed for short- and mid-range wireless connectivity, with typical range up to 25 meters line of sight. Actual reachable range will vary depending on local factors.
Overhear Mode
Hear-Through mode makes it possible to have a “local” conversation and hear what is happening around you without removing the headset. When Hear-Through mode is activated, the sound from the intercom system or connected radio is attenuated by 24dB. This allows monitoring intercom or radio traffic while participating in a “local” conversation. This mode uses 3D spatial audio so the headset also reflects the direction of the sound for optimal functionality.
3D GEL Ear Pads
Equipped with 3D GEL Ear cushion to increase the headset's passive noise reduction and improve physical fit. The design of the ear cushion provides a closer fit to the skull around the ear. This option provides up to an extra 5dB of passive noise reduction.
High Bright LED
This feature provides three very useful light modes. Dimmed mode provides enough light to read a map you're holding in your hand without disturbing your night vision or the people around you too much. High beam mode illuminates the road ahead and makes it possible to move and navigate in complete darkness. In strobe mode, the LED continuously emits powerful flashes at a fixed frequency, helping others locate you in the dark. A helicopter without FLIR equipment can easily detect your location even a mile or two away.
